These works are part of a drawing series that together become a visual essay on the
diffractive nature of time. This essay is intended to be a scientific reverie on spacetime,
to contemplate layered dimensions of existence in relation to theories of temporality.
The drawings, collages, diagrammatics and process-based responses pursue thought
experiments, metaphors and analogies for seemingly unrepresentable perceptions of
spacetime. They build on my research as an artist in residence at a particle accelerator
lab, travels, historic chronicles, and interactions, to assemble concepts of time from
different perspectives, whether they be physics-based, biological, social historical, or
geophysical based observations.
